BUSINESS REOPENING SCAM
Since the nation has been locked down since March, many small to mid-sized businesses have suffered the most. As large financial institutions, tech and global conglomerates have received ‘bail outs’, the middle class has received virtually nothing….Yes, they have the option to apply for CARE Act relief but unlike the banks and other multi national corporations, these relief funds will have to be paid back… BUSINESS REOPENING SCAM. BUSINESS REOPENING SCAM. BUSINESS REOPENING SCAM. BUSINESS REOPENING SCAM.
How are these businesses supposed to be able to survive in the ‘reopening’ if they are only allowed to serve 25% of their posted occupancy and still maintain mandated social distancing? Most business require at least 80% traffic to maintain sustainability. In addition, many states are refusing reopening to bars and entertainment venues. Casinos require at least 60% traffic in order to break even. It would seem these draconian mandates being imposed that are not based on science or data will either force these businesses to remain closed which will result inevitably in their closings – permanently.
This is not an acceptable solution. We need to stand behind our local businesses if they choose to defy their individual state mandates.
